In a message shared on X, Modi said, “Heartfelt greetings to all my fellow citizens across the country on the occasion of Ram Navami.” He noted that the life of Lord Ram, revered as Maryada Purushottam, reflects ideals of sacrifice, penance and self-discipline that offer enduring lessons for humanity.

“The life of Maryada Purushottam, filled with sacrifice, penance, and self-discipline, inspires us to face every situation with strength and determination,” the Prime Minister said, adding that these principles continue to guide not just Indians but people across the world.

He also connected Lord Ram’s teachings with India’s development goals, saying, “I pray that by the grace of Lord Ram, everyone is blessed with well-being, and that this paves the way for achieving the vision of a developed and self-reliant India.”
Ram Navami commemorates the birth of Lord Ram, a central figure in the Hindu epic Ramayana, and is observed with great devotion across the country. The festival is marked by prayers, religious processions and recitations, highlighting values such as righteousness, duty and compassion.
Political leaders across party lines traditionally extend greetings on the occasion, reflecting its deep cultural and spiritual importance in India.
